NEWPORT — The WSU/Pend Oreille County Master Gardeners invite community members to a class on “Successful Seed Germination,” a practical and inspiring class for gardeners of all experience levels. The class will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 9 at the Create Arts Center, 900 W. 4th Street, in Newport.
Participants will explore the fascinating world of seeds, learning how, when and where to plant them, as well as the essential steps for nurturing seedlings after germination. Whether you are new to gardening or looking to sharpen your skills, this hands-on class will build confidence and set you up for growing success.
To conclude the evening, the Master Gardeners will host a Seed Swap, offering attendees the opportunity to share, trade or donate seeds with fellow gardeners.
Anyone wishing to participate is encouraged to bring seeds to share. Envelopes for taking seeds home will be provided.
This event offers an opportunity to expand your garden, connect with others and build confidence in starting plants from seed. The cost of the class is $5 per person, making it an accessible and valuable learning experience for anyone eager to grow their gardening skills this spring.
