Facts of Life

Things have been going well so I thought I’d take a break, I didn’t go to work today, that was a big mistake.

The boss was looking for solutions for a problem that he had, I wasn’t there to help and that apparently made him mad.

I decided to drive to the office, but my car would not start, I caught a ride on the bus, with my trip I did depart.

I closed my eyes to rest them, but I fell asleep, I woke and saw I missed my stop my comment I have to bleep.

I finally made it to the office, but to no accord, My boss had decided to fire me, a result I could not afford.

When I got home, I found a note, my wife had flown the coop, I went outside to get some air and saw an old man with a stoop.
