Four participants took to the Priest River Junior High auditorium stage Saturday, April 25, for the annual Distinguished Young Women scholarship program. Four junior students from Bonner County vied for over $6,600 in funds in categories like talent, self-expression, scholastics, interview and fitness. The event is put on by volunteers and local businesses. Participants this year were Breelynn Duran, Vivian Savage, Rose-Marie Saunders and Ashlynn Korff.

Breelynn Duran escorts one of the Junior Little Miss participants on stage, where each girl was asked what made them amazing.
During the program local youth performed a rendition of ‘Amazing Grace.’
Ashlynn Korff and her dad Mike Korff thumb wrestled, much to the audience’s delight.
