DRUGS: S. Washington Ave., Newport, report that someone dumped bag of needles and Narcan on complainant’s front door.

WEAPON OFFENSE: N. Spokane Ave., Newport, report that complainant heard gunshot by apartments and heard voices but did not see anything.

TUESDAY, APRIL 21

BURGLARY: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report that people broke into residence and took items.

FISH & GAME: LeClerc Rd. N.

ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Jonna Leigh Miller, 57, of Newport was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

FIRE: Coyote Trail, Newport, report that slash from previous burn in fall had reignited and jumped to logs of burn area to woods.

THREATENING: Willms Rd., Elk, report that complainant was

being threatened by neighbors.

ARREST: Qlispe River Way, Cusick, Fred Craig Gonzalez, 70, of Spokane was arrested for first-degree criminal trespassing and third-degree driving with license suspended.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 22

INMATE TRANSPORT: S.

Garden Ave., Newport, report of transporting inmate to Spokane.

HAZMAT: Westside Calispel Rd., report that carbon monoxide sensor was going off in complainant’s trailer, but it stopped when they opened windows and doors; complainant still wanted trailer checked.

PROPERTY DAMAGE: Houghton St., Ione, report that someone damaged complainant’s new Toyota car.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Ione City Park, Ione, report that there had been a white car there for six days.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: N. Spokane Ave., Newport, report that male wearing black, white jumpsuit had pants down and was showing his bare butt.

FIRE: Green Rd., Newport, report of pool shed on fire.

FOUND PROPERTY: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report that complainant found backpack, cell phone and other items stashed under deck.

SUSPICIOUS PERSON: N. Newport Ave., Newport, report that older man in lobby was acting odd, took his shirt off, was wearing black-and-white clothes.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: N. Warren Ave., Newport, report of possible grooming of young girls.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Hwy. 31 & N. Washington Ave., Newport, report that complainant believed there was person laying on side of road with blanket when she drove by.

TRESPASSING: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report that at 4:30 a.m., Ring camera picked up male wandering around back of property.

THEFT: Calispel Ave., Cusick, report that phone was taken three days ago, complainant thought from his yard.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE: Hwy. 2, Newport, report that complainant was hit by bottle or can by his ex-girlfriend.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Sandwich Creek Rd., Usk, report that subject was posting information with other’s personal information.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Fertile Valley Rd., Newport, report that complainant believed there was a squatter in a house.

AGENCY ASSIST: Hwy. 2, Newport, report that trooper on stop was not answering status.

ARREST: Hwy. 2, Newport, William James Higgins, 54, of Newport was arrested for driving while intoxicated, driving without required interlock and third-degree driving with license suspended or revoked.

BOOK & RELEASE: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Gregory Owen Hamblen, 60, of Spokane Valley was booked and released for knowingly possessing controlled substance; Andrea Destiny Anderson, 47, of Newport was booked and released for driving under the influence.
