METALINE FALLS — Excitement builds around the Cutter Theatre as people get ready for the Bigfoot Festival, June 20–21.

Leading up to the celebration there are numerous activities.

The “best” will be determined by voting, which will take place during the Bigfoot festival. Posters are to be 8 by 10 inches, in any medium. Submissions are due at the Cutter office by Monday, June 15. Votes can be cast at the Cutter booth during the festival.

Tickets are $20.

Bigfoot Raffle tickets are $5 each for the carved Bigfoot sculpture in the Cutter’s lobby. The raffle will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, June 21.

Tickets are in the Cutter office.

The annual Cutter Clutter started Monday, June 8 and will be open until 4 p.m. each day the Cutter is open until Saturday, Sept. 12, the day of the Highway 31 Yard Sale.

Remember that items may be brought into the office at any time that the office is open. Sales are on a “you make an offer” basis, with payment in the Cutter office.

The Cutter Clutter is an important fundraiser for the theatre, and a great place to offload gently used goods and to find others. Clothing or large appliances are not accepted.

Thursday, June 18. Cost is $10.

Bring a lunch and needle-nose pliers.

This is for grades first through sixth. Make reservations through the office. Cost is $40, with all supplies included.

A Theatre workshop will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, June 25, featuring acting, stage movement, audition prep and theatre fun. The cost for this class is $5.

Arbour Season performs at the Cutter at 7 p.m. Friday, June 26.

Arbour Season features a husband- wife duo who draw inspiration from their adventures across North America in a converted bus. Tickets are $20, and tentative dinner plans are for a barbeque- style “camp” meal at 6 p.m. for $20.

Tom and Lynn Barnes are resuming their tours of the building. They know about the theatre from the beginning, as they were a part of the volunteer effort to restore it. They also know much about local history, which they will share on request.

Times are anytime between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 6 and 20, July 4 and 18, Aug. 1, 18 and 29 and Sept. 5. People can also request a tour during regular business hours. There is no cost, but donations are gratefully accepted.

The Gallery is featuring work by Artscape students. A “Meet and Greet” reception will be held from 3:30 to 5:30 pm. Wednesday, June 10. Come support budding artists.
