Pride in Newport

A Pride Rally participant holding up a Pride flag by The Big Wheel in Newport, Friday, June 5. Under a dozen rallied nonviolently to call for visibility, equality and solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, carrying flags and signs alike. Rally organizers intended to raise awareness about LGBTQ+ challenges, honor lives lost to anti-LGBTQ+ violence and the AIDS crisis and celebrate LGBTQ+ culture and achievements.
