Basketball tournament this weekend

CUSICK – Pend Oreille County’s only 3-on-3 basketball tournament is back Saturday, June 20 - Sunday, June 21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with Kalispel Summer Slam. The public is invited to watch the local basketball tournament (registration is currently closed). There will also be food vendors. The tournament will be at Kalispel Casino, 189 Qlispe River Way in Cusick.

Teams that no-show will be disqualified from next year’s tournament.

Calling all Grizzly athletes

NEWPORT – All Newport High School athletes are encouraged to take part in summer workout sessions Mondays-Thursdays, from 7-8:15 a.m.at the high school. The goal of every session is to build complete, resilient athletes and help students train for their preferred sport(s) next school year.
