Public invited to budget hearing

PRIEST RIVER – West Bonner County School District will hold a budget hearing Wednesday, June 17 at 5 p.m. at the District Office, 134 Main St., Priest River. The public is invited to give comments regarding the budget.

Hospital holds community information sessions

NEWPORT — Pend Oreille County Public Hospital District No. 1 recently released its upcoming community information session schedule. The sessions are intended to provide an opportunity for community members to learn about the District’s hospital expansion and renovation plans associated with Hospital Proposition 1, a bond that will appear on the Aug. 4 primary ballot.

The information sessions are as follows: Thursday, June 18, 4:30-5:30 p.m. – Ponderosa Room at Newport Community Hospital (714 W. Pine St, Newport; public entrance on the corner of Spruce and Scott.)

Thursday, June 25, 4:30-5:30 p.m. – Ponderosa Room at Newport Community Hospital (714 W. Pine St, Newport; public entrance on the corner of Spruce and Scott.)

Thursday, July 8, 4:305:30 p.m. – Camas Center (1821 LeClerc Rd., Cusick) Wednesday, July 15, 5-6 p.m. – Virtual meeting; links will be provided on the hospital website no later than July 15 at 4 p.m.

Leclerc Road paving to cause delays

NEWPORT – Leclerc Road N will be paved from milepost 16.1 through 29, the week of June 22. Expect delays, lane closures and construction equipment in the area, according to the Pend Oreille County Public Works Department.
