Bigfoot Festival returning to Metaline Falls

METALINE FALLS — The Bigfoot Festival is returning to Metaline Falls for Father’s Day weekend, Saturday, June 20 to Sunday, June 21.

On Saturday, the event starts with the 5K Bigfoot Run, with check-in at 7 a.m. and the race starting at 8 a.m. Event-goers can park in the softball field or cement plant parking lots for free.

A pancake breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. at the American Legion.

Shane Corson of the Olympic Project will be the featured presenter at the Cutter Theatre for $20 a seat, with a 10 a.m. or 1 p.m. session only on Saturday. A free shuttle from Busta Park to the Cutter is available.

On Sunday, the event will continue with the Littlefoot Kids Run, with check-in at 7 a.m. in Buster Park and the race starting at 9 a.m. in front of the Cutter.

On both days, event-goers can pick up speciality coffee from the Coffee Trailer.

Busta Park will feature retail vendors, food vendors, children’s art projects, face painting, fiber spinning and a Sasquatch Village of researchers with their evidence for the public to see for free. A car show will be down Fifth Avenue, a beer garden at the American Legion.

Three local Metaline Falls restaurants will be open during the event, and the Community Center is hosting a quilt show.

Event t-shirts, merchandise and bottled water are available at the Information Booth.
