Former Newport City Council member Nathan Longly was appointed to Position 5 in 2022, then elected in 2023, serving for a collective three-and-a-half years.

The Board of Hospital District Commissioners increased the credit benefit associated with the proposed expansion bond. These were incorrectly reported in last week’s story, “Longly resigns from Newport City Council.” We regret any inconvenience this might have caused.
