NHHS Foundation golf tourney celebrates record support

POST FALLS — The 19th annual FORE! The Health of It Golf Tournament grossed a record $34,000 in support of the Newport Hospital and Health Services Foundation.

The tournament was held Friday, June 12 at The Highlands Golf Course in Post Falls.

Funds raised at the event support healthcare equipment and delivery and capital improvements, as well as community health and education, including programs like Healthy Kids Snack Bags and Reach Out and Read.

In all, 28 foursomes competed in the benefit.

The winning team of Adam Rouns, Hannah Rouns, Colin Anderson and Anthony Schoen represented NAC Architecture.

Hannah Rouns also won women’s longest drive and women’s closest to the pin, while Adam Rouns won men’s longest drive.

Other individual winners were Brock Fairley, representing Northwest Staffing Network, for men’s closest to the pin and Jordan Rocke, representing Ivory Dental, for sinking the longest putt.

The second-place team — Chris Codd, Kyle Ham, Jim Desmond and Kyle Stillar — represented D.A. Davidson and Principal Financial. Curt Holmes, Ryan Guhlke, Louie Bluff and Tyler Edwards took third place while representing the Kalispel Tribe of Indians.

The Kalispel Tribe of Indians and Kalispel Casino were the platinum sponsors of this year’s event. Northwest Staffing Network and Wellpoint were the gold sponsors, and silver sponsors included Automated Accounts, Bouten Construction, D.A.

Davidson, Life Flight Network, NAC Architecture and Principal Financial.
