Time To Go

We found a property on many acres and couldn’t believe our luck, with pastures, trees a Historic barn and a slough complete with ducks.

It came with a little two bedroom farm house shaded by mature trees, several outbuildings for storage and a loafing shed for horses to appease.

There were hay fields galore that allowed for a view of wide open skies, Now I can’t forget the 600ft. riverfront with all that river beauty implies.

Then there was the wildlife that passed through many deer and even elk, And hundreds of geese that could sky dance to the music of Lawrence Welk.

Many times I spent mowing the lawn enjoying the smell of fresh cut grass, the abundant clear air and sun on my face, a memory that will always last.

Canoeing with family on the slow moving Pend Oreille river was always fun, Driving the Gator in the fields and woods for pleasure or having repairs done.

The scenic rides on our horses have special memories I do dream, a stalwart 1910 barn with log joists and a walkup hay loft supreme.

And woods thick with beauty that shelters turkeys through the night, Green fields of hay growing and blue skies with clouds of white.

Thoughts of July 4th holidays and exploding sounds morning to night, watching neighbors launching competing rockets, ‘twas a colorful sight.

We’ll remember all the friends we made and sadness we will show, after twenty five years of hard work and fun we decided it was time to go.
