Deer Valley transfer station scale replacement begins July 13

NEWPORT – The Pend Oreille County Solid Waste Facility will undergo a scale replacement project beginning the week of July 13, and continuing through approximately the end of September, construction schedules permitting.

During construction, the facility will remain open and continue normal operations; however, customers should expect temporary traffic pattern changes and minor delays.

Traffic should enter at the Deer Valley Road entrance and exit the West Gate on Landfill Road.

County staff and contractors will work to minimize disruptions and maintain safe access for all customers throughout the project. They ask for the public’s patience and cooperation by following all posted signs, traffic control devices, and directions from facility personnel while construction activities are underway.
