EDITOR’S NOTE: The police reports, taken from dispatch logs provided to The Miner by law enforcement agencies, are not intended to be an exact report, but rather a comprehensive list of police calls in Pend Oreille and West Bonner counties. Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights.
Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints. These include, but aren’t limited to ambulance calls for illness, unfounded alarms, traffic stops, dogs at large, abandoned vehicles, 911 hang–ups and civil standbys.

TRESPASSING: Valley View Dr., Newport, report that approximately five minutes ago, a male in his 30s to 40s walked out of woods and across property toward end of roadway; verbal warning issued.

ARREST: Fan Lake, Deer Park, Steven David Cook, 39, of Spokane was arrested on two out-of-county warrants.
THREATENING: 1st Ave., Cusick, report of request for deputy at 1 p.m. tomorrow at town hall, resident had been threatening people.
