Newport City Council revisits fire, EMS talks

NEWPORT — After the Pledge of Allegiance, Mayor Keith Campbell invited those at the Newport City Council meeting Monday, Aug. 3, to share a moment of silence, in acknowledgment of the loss caused by the Spokane wildfires.

“Our hearts go out to those that have lost their property, maybe loved ones, animals,” Campbell said at the meeting. “Any support we can give to those communities, we’re open to do that.”
