Final Friday, Shrimp Boil coming to Cutter
METALINE FALLS — Because of other events on the last weekend of the month, the Cutter Theatre’s last Final Friday for the current year is Aug. 28, starting with $5 dinner at 5 p.m. and the show for $5 at 6 p.m. There will have new performers and a few that have been on the stage before.
On Saturday, Sept. 19, it’s the Shrimp Boil at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Ping Pong Ball Raffle, then the annual auction at 7 p.m.
The cost of the shrimp boil is $40, and reservations are required.
The cost of a ping pong ball raffle ticket is $20. One hundred tickets are sold, and the prize is $1,000. Get tickets in the Cutter office or at the shrimp boil.
Attendees at the auction receive a free bidding card.
Some of the items up for auction include, but are not limited to, a mani-pedi from Nails by Stef, a quilt made by Tina Noble, four tickets to “Cinderella,” five passes to Raptor Reef and a belay class for two at Wild Walls.
Auction proceeds will benefit the installation of the Cutter’s new energy-efficient doors. The Kalispel tribe donated $16,000 toward the new doors, which cost $40,000 and have already been installed. The old doors were leaking heat and air coolant despite attempts to solve that problem, such as utilizing blackout curtains at night. Now, the Cutter needs to rebuild its “rainy day” savings account.
For more information on all Cutter events, including donating to the auction, go to www.cuttertheatre.com or call 509-446-4108.
