Dispatch also fields calls for the Kalispel Tribe’s property in Airway Heights. Certain police calls are generally omitted because of space constraints. AGENCY ASSIST: Hwy. 57 & Hwy. 2, Priest River, report that Bonner County was in pursuit of vehicle over 109 miles per hour.
VERBAL DV: Newport, report that complainant and her husband had been in dispute; he was drunk and popped tires on her car.
THEFT: Vista Dr., Newport, report that someone stole chain off gate within last week to two weeks.
ARREST: W. Pine St. & N. Halford Ave., Newport, Rodney Leon Mize, 53, of Newport was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Hwy. 20 & Lilac Lane, Newport, report that male made threats at Mobil in Oldtown and then sped up Highway 20.
THEFT: Alaska Lane N., Cusick, report of issue with landowner using equipment to trespass and remove rock on Pend Oreille Valley Railroad right-of-way.

TRESPASSING: Panhead Hill Rd., Newport, report that complainant wanted male trespassed from property.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE: McGowen Rd., Newport, report of all-terrain vehicle and dirt bikes trespassing on property, sprayed gravel on guests.
ANIMAL PROBLEM: W. 1st St. & S. Calispel Ave., Newport, report of large black-and-white mastiff, super friendly, bright orange collar, no tags, wandering around neighborhood.
ANIMAL CRUELTY: Spring Valley Rd. & Elmers Loop, Newport, report that horses were not taken care of and had no water; people had watered horses since.
THEFT: Bead Lake Rd., Newport, report that complainant helped people change flat tire yesterday, thought they stole Milwaukee stapler.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: N. 5th Ave., Cusick, report that complainant was concerned about recent issues between daughter and neighbor.
THEFT: E. 5th Ave., report of ring missing from apartment within past two weeks.
ERRATIC DRIVER: W. Railroad Ave., Newport, report of black older car, possibly 70s two-door coupe, burnout and excessive speeds.
ILLEGAL BURNNG: Harvey Creek Rd., report of blue minivan in area camping, had fire.

THEFT: Deer Valley Rd., Newport, report that complainant’s vehicle was just stolen by known female.
TUESDAY, AUG. 25
VERBAL DV: Newport, report that complainant and her boyfriend got into argument and he took her phone, would not give it back.

FRAUD: Fourspots Rd., Cusick, report that complainant received fake phone call from bank and had money drained from account.
ARREST: W. 1st St. & S. Calispel Ave., Newport, Joshua Tyler Earle, 24, of Priest River was arrested on local and out-of-county warrants.
ARREST: Ione, Mikel Kent Harrison, 57, of Ione was arrested for fourth-degree assault.
SUSPICIOUS PERSON: N. Washington Ave., Newport, report of male subject being aggressive and crude to passing drivers, flipping them off and yelling at them.
FIRE: Milwaukee Dr. S., Newport, report that complainant had smoking cord plugged into freezer, turned off main power but wanted it checked out, was not smoking anymore.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Pines Rd., Newport, report that neighbors were giving complainant death threats and he was in fear for his life.
NOISE COMPLAINT: Deer Valley Rd., Newport, report of loud music and drums playing, had been going on approximately 10 minutes or so.
ILLEGAL BURNING: Scotia Rd., Newport, report of subjects at residence had fire, unknown what kind.
JUVENILE PROBLEM: Phay Rd. SMOKE: Pickett Rd., Ione, report that there was smoke in area, complainant could not tell where it was coming from.
SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: LeClerc Rd. N., report that nephew picked up man who crawled out of ditch approximately 100 yards north of house.
ARREST: S. Garden Ave., Newport, Michael David Simon, 66, of Deer Park was arrested on a warrant.

SUSPICIOUS CIRCUMSTANCE: Frissell Rd., Usk, report that someone dumped bulldozer on complainant’s property couple days ago.
SMOKE: Flume Creek, report of bunch of lightning, and complainant then saw smoke up west side of canyon.
THEFT: W. Walnut St., Newport, report that male subject left store with grocery cart full of items without paying.
NON-INJURY COLLISION: W. Pine St., Newport, report that complainant witnessed subject hit their vehicle.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE: S. Scott Ave., Newport, report of two kids on go-kart racing up and down.
