CUSICK – The Cusick School District recently received a donation of $15,500 from the Kalispel Tribe, providing every certificated staff member with additional funds to supplement their classroom budgets for supplies and instructional materials.

“This gift represents far more than financial support,” Cusick Superintendent Don Hawpe said. “It is a powerful expression of the Tribe’s belief in education, in our teachers, and in the potential of every child who walks through our doors.

“Partnerships such as this should remind us that the education of our children is a shared responsibility and that when a community comes together in support of its schools, extraordinary things can happen,” Hawpe said.
