Several items in the Salute to Firefighters were incorrect in last week’s issue of The Miner. Fire District 4 merged with Pend Oreille Fire District 2. The city of Newport contracts with the South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue and the Kalispel Tribe Fire Department covers the reservation and the town of Cusick. We regret any confusion this may have caused.
