Now there’s a find

The Pend Oreille County Historical Society recently received an email from someone identified only as “Patrick” who said he found these photos of Boy Scouts from Newport camping out at Priest Lake in 1945 at an estate sale in Portland, Oregon.

They were accompanied by a write up in the Miner newspaper. “Thank you, Patrick, for being observant (and civic-minded) with sending us these photos,” the historical society said in a Facebook post. For more information, go to www. pochsmuseum.org.
