School supplies for Stratton
Representatives from South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue, Stratton Elementary School, WaFd Bank and Mountain West Bank posing behind hundreds of school supply donations, Wednesday, Sept. 9 in Newport. SPOFR collected these donations at WaFd Bank, Mountain West Bank and their Newport and Diamond Lake stations for over a month. “This really helps the students at Stratton,” said Rick O’Brien, SPOFR public information officer, adding that 67% of Stratton students are below the federal poverty line.
