Priest River soccer battles with Badgers

PRIEST RIVER – It was Senior Day for the Priest River Spartan Varsity Soccer teams Saturday, Sept. 26 with the boys putting forth their best effort despite the 7-1 loss against Bonners Ferry at home. Senior captain Gunnar Petit, assisted by senior co-captain Daryan Haidari, made the lone goal against the Bonners Ferry Badgers. Haidari faced off against three of his fellow club Sandpoint Strikers players in Gabe Litterell, Aaron Tadlock and Trevor Festini.

Priest River currently ranks fifth in the 4A Intermountain Conference. The Spartans have only away games remaining. They played Timberlake Tuesday, Sept. 29 and face Coeur d’Alene Charter Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Fields-Real Life.
