Local firefighters and law enforcement responded to a structure fire in Priest River Friday, Oct. 2. There were no injuries and Priest River Police and Bonner County Sheriff were the first on scene and extricated a person through a window. West Pend Oreille Fire District Chief Jaime Painton said his team responded within four minutes to the fire, adding that WPOFD brought four engines, a tender and brush truck. South Pend Oreille Fire and Rescue, Selkirk and Spirit Lake Fire Districts and Bonner County EMS also responded. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
