Georgia Marie Pillers

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Georgia Pillers. Georgia passed peacefully, surrounded by loving family members, on August 10, 2025 at Holy Family Hospital.
Georgia Marie Pillers was born on July 17, 1929 in Santa Maria, California and spent much of her childhood in Pasadena and surrounding area. She was the second child of George E. Waters and Eva Urquhart-Coffee.
In the fall of 1948, she met, her soulmate and soon-to-be husband, William (Lee) Pillers at a USO Roller Skating event.
Following a short engagement they married on February 27, 1949. They remained deeply in love and happily married until Lee’s death in 2002. Lee always told her she was “the most beautiful woman in the world”.
After their marriage they moved into Lee’s family homestead house outside Elk, Washington and began a family. Over the following years they moved to Spokane where they raised their seven children, Eva, Randy, Jim, Ken, Dan, Marcia and Don.
After their children fled the nest, Georgia and Lee moved up to Newport, Washington. They were active in the community and attended The Church of the Open Bible Church, before returning to Spokane in the late 1990’s.
Georgia loved her ever expanding family. At the time of her death, she had twenty grandchildren, forty-three great-grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband William Lee, her sister Winefred (June), her son Randy and granddaughter Sarah.
Georgia’s Christian faith was important to her. She attended Morgan Acres Community Church. Throughout her life she was active in her church, her neighborhood community and her family. She will be deeply missed by those who knew her.
Arrangements are being handled by Heritage Funeral & Cremation with a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. on September 12, 2025 at Heritage, 509 N. Government Way.
