Kathleen 'Kathy' M. Pasquale
Kathleen “Kathy” M. Pasquale, 89, passed away peacefully Sep 14th. She was born in Mulino, Oregon, to Pat and Mary Haughey and grew up in Spokane, Washington. She graduated from Marycliff High School in 1954 and went to work for Squirt Nesbitt Bottling Co. as a bookkeeper. In 1957, she married James “Jim” Pasquale. Together they raised their family of four and opened their home as foster parents to several children. Kathy was a substitute teacher at St. Charles and volunteered as a Cub Scout and Camp Fire Leader. She was an Avon Rep and Team Leader for 10 years and later enjoyed working for Crowd Management Services.
After Jim’s retirement, they moved to Diamond Lake, where they found joy in the lake community and in their faith. At Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church in Newport, Kathy served as president and Secretary of the Altar Society and as a Chaplain to the sick. She was happiest surrounded by her family, friends (including her beloved pets), and the people she served.
Kathleen is survived by children Dennis, Chris (Diane), Theresa (John), Kathleena (Dean), 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Jim, her parents Pat and Mary Haughey, her brothers Tim and Denny Haughey, and many close family members and friends.
A Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10th at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish 219 E. Rockwood Blvd, Spokane WA. Friends and family are invited to attend.
