Sharon attended all 12 years of school in Cusick, Washington. She enjoyed cheerleading and was an ASB officer. Outside of school she participated in 4H club.

In 1959 Sharon graduated high school and married Gerald Howe (Jerry). They soon welcomed their son, Gary and in 1961 their daughter, Brenda.

Sharon worked at the Pennell Fur Farm and the Triangle Café until her kids went to elementary school.

Sharon was a life-long learner. She enrolled in classes at Whitworth College pursuing a degree in teaching. She later found her calling as an early childhood teacher and family trainer for the NEWRR Head Start program. She and Brenda even worked together sharing a collaborative teaching program for 2 years.

Inl981 Jerry was killed. Sharon was shattered. With family and friends support she stayed at the ranch until 1983.

By the time 1984 rolled around Sharon had met Rich Walker. They made their home together in Oldtown, Idaho.

In 1986 her son, Gary, was killed in a logging accident, Sharon was totally devastated. She retired from teaching in 1987.

Sharon and Rick then purchased the Circle Motel in Metaline Falls, Washington. They enjoyed meeting people from all over the world. Sharon treasured the time there. When the work became too much for them they began spending time in Arizona and Nevada.

They lived in Golden Valley, Arizona before making their permanent home in Bullhead City Arizona. Sharon quickly learned to gamble. She would win money and go home right away so she wouldn’t lose it!
