Marjorie Anne Shoptaw, June 7th, 1949-November 24, 2025, was raised along the banks of the Pend Oreille River with her sisters and brother. After being a majorette, in a band, and graduating from Priest River High School she met her future husband one Summer night in Oldtown. It was fitting, he was from Newport.

Margie and husband Dave built their dream home together in Newport and spent spare time camping and at their Priest Lake home. Boating, snowmobiling, and hosting friends on their deck bar, the Stagger Out, life was always an adventure. She worked at Seebers Pharmacy many years until she and her sister Susan Bauer opened Floral Traditions in Priest River.

Retirement was spent traveling together to Europe, Thailand, Central America, Mexico, but mostly the Caribbean sailing on tall ships. Margie loved any beach, shell, rock and fishing. They became snowbirds and explored the desert in a sideby- side.

Preceded by husband of 53 years, David Shoptaw, father Clifford Peterson, mother Virginia Glabb, stepfather Harold Glabb, sister Susan Bauer, sister Kathy Moore, and brother Martin Glabb. Marjorie leaves behind daughter Sonia Shoptaw, granddaughters Hannah Kepner and Isabelle Kepner. Brothers Jim Peterson and Lamont Glabb. And many dear friends.

Memorial, goodbye celebration, will be held Summer 2026.
