Grace Stumpff, age 91, passed away peacefully on January 7, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Spokane, Washington, she was raised in the Newport and Ione area and was the daughter of Roy Adams and Marie Powell.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents, Roy Adams and Marie Powell; her sister, Alice; her brother, Bobby; and her sons, David Huff, Russell Koontz, and Edward Huff. Grace loved her family deeply.
She had a lifelong love of animals and, over the years, raised rabbits, goats, and dachs-hunds. She founded multiple associations devoted to rabbits and goats and proudly raised grand champion goats. Grace’s affection for dachshunds was truly special. Over the years, she not only raised these spirited dogs but also delighted in matching them with families who would cherish them as much as she did. Her dedication ensured that countless households experienced the unique joy and companionship that only a dachshund can bring. She was also a devoted fan of Gonzaga Bulldogs basketball.
Grace’s kindness and strength left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
