Margaret Milna Honaker, age 72, of Newport, Washington, passed away on November 9, 2025, at her home in Diamond Lake after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her children at the time of her passing. Margaret was born on November 17, 1952, in Crescent City, California, to Logan and Vivienne Honaker. She spent several years in Goldendale, Washington, where she raised her children, before settling in Newport, where she resided for the remainder of her life. Margaret had a deep love for gardening and created beauty in everything she touched. Her garden at her longtime I home on W. 1st Street was well known in the community and was a beautiful sight to those who passed by, prior to the home being lost to a fire on March 5, 2025. She also had a passion for cooking and baking; no one ever left her home hungry. Her kitchen served as the heart of countless family gatherings and impromptu visits; she was truly the matriarch of her family. She will be deeply missed. Margaret is survived by her children: Ammie Sandquist and husband Robert, David Hill, Beckie Becks and husband Anthony, Jenny Montgomery and --------------------------------- 1 husband Aaron, and Daniel Hill and wife Shannon. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Destiny Hill, Jeremiah Mclnturff, Matthew Mclnturff, Abby Wiese, Daisy Hester, Jazmin Hester, Richard Becks, and Nathaniel Hill; seven great-grandchildren; her sisters Cynthia Barks and Carolyn Hollingsworth; and her brother James Honaker.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the spring of 2026. Arrangements are under the care of Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home, with service details to be announced at a later date.
