Esther passed away peacefully Jan. 28, 2026. She was born in Boise, Idaho, to John and Gertrude Kimzey on May 15, 1928. Her family lived on a ranch in the Highland area until her father’s death when she was 8 years old. Her mother and siblings then moved to Middleton, Idaho, where she met Orman Best. They married March 15, 1946, in Fayette, Idaho. They lived on a farm near Caldwell, Idaho, until they moved to Priest River in the spring of 1956. Esther was a homemaker with a lot of interests: sewing, preserving, huckleberry picking, fishing, honeybees and she was an avid gardener.

She was predeceased by her husband in 2009, her brothers Robert, John and Charles Kimzey. Sisters Mary, Edith, Emma and Nina.

Survived by her children Betty Creviston, David (Linda) Best and Jeane Best, grandchildren Keith (Rayanne) Creviston, Donna Colwell, Gail ( Jim) Menne, Jeff (Belinda) Best, Jason (Becky) Best and Wendy Childs. Twelve great-grandchildren and numerous great-great-grandchildren.
