Clifford W. Mitchell was born on July 15, 1935 in Clark Fork, Idaho, to Clifford Mitchell and Ruby (Montague) Mitchell. “Cliff” was raised in lone, Washington, with his two sisters Marien Keller and Judy Stolz. He passed away peacefully of natural causes on February 16, 2026 (age 90) in Spokane, Washington.

He was preceded in death by his parents, older sister (Marien), and his wife of 50 years Carolyn E. (Collins) Mitchell with whom he shared five surviving children, Roliene Moran, Nadina Thrower, Garth Mitchell, Kerry Mitchell and Kolinda Mitchell. Also surviving Christopher Mitchell of Scottsdale, Arizona, from a previous relationship.

Graveside service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026 at noon at the Newport Cemetery in Newport, Washington.
