Lillian 'Lulu / Klem' Dalton

Lillian “Lulu / Klem” Dalton, 94, passed away on February 27, 2026. She was born June 30, 1931, in Petaluma, California, the youngest of eleven children to Paul and Melania Klemenok.
Klem met the love of her life, Everett Dalton, in the San Francisco area. They married in 1951. They raised four children - Gary (Sharon), Terry (Zane), Vicky (Kurt), and Tracy (Bob) - and moved to Priest River, Idaho, in 1967. Everett passed away in 1997.
Known for her big heart and even bigger cinnamon rolls, Klem worked at Stoneridge Resort as a cook and also at the IGA in Priest River. She and Everett spent years driving long-haul trucks across the country.
Shaped by the hardships of the Great Depression, Klem made sure no one around her went hungry. She raised gardens and livestock, hunted, and canned. Home was her pride and joy, where she cooked enough to feed a crowd. Her generosity, empathy, and strong spirit touched everyone who knew her.
Klem spent her final years at River Mountain Village Advanced Care, where she formed close bonds with her caregivers. Her family is deeply grateful for their kindness.
Klem is survived by her children, Gary, Terry, Vicky, and Tracy; six grandchildren, Jessica Edmondson, Michael (Darla) Dalton, Jacqueline (Joshua) Wike, Geoffrey (Rebecca) Boncz, Shawna (Jason) MacDonald, Tamara (Jacob) Hirst; fourteen great-grandchildren, Hunter Edmondson, Reece, Walker, and Dawson Dalton, Aspen and Dominic Wike, Aria Keefe and Amryn Boncz, Landon and Jaren MacDonald, Lillian, Hadlee, Payton, and Harper Hirst.
She leaves behind a legacy of resilience, grit, and love that will be cherished always. At her request, no funeral is planned. Instead, the family asks that you share with your family and friends a cinnamon roll, cup of coffee, and your favorite Klem story.
