Frank and Lois moved to lone, Washington inl961 where he owned the Richfield gas station/garage for many years. He then went to work for Seattle City Light as a Diamond Driller in the construction of Boundary Dam in Metaline Falls. Their daughter Lori was born in Metaline Falls in 1963.

Later, Frank went to work for Georgia Pacific which became Louisiana Pacific, where he worked as Millwright and then foreman until the mill was sold in 1982.He moved to Walla Walla Washington and worked as Superintendent for Louisiana Pacific until his retirement in 1986. He retired and moved back home to lone when his daughter-in-law DeeAnn was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

He and Lois helped care for DeeAnn until she passed away in their home. They continued to always be a huge presence in the lives of their 4 grandchildren.

Frank bought a log truck and worked several years in the woods with his son Frank III, eventually adding an additional log truck and 2 log loaders. After retiring again, he continued driving dump truck part time until he was 75 years old.

Frank was an avid hunter and fisherman, and spent most weekends with his nephew Charlie Beatty, enjoying these activities.

Frank and Lois loved nothing more than chasing their 4 grandkids around, watching everything from Basketball, Softball, Football, concerts and everything in between. They received many 'Fan of the Year” Awards from Selkirk Athletic teams, making it to all the away games and usually bringing cookies or some other goodies. The grandkids’ fondest memories were spending every Thursday night at their home, helping to shape who they would become and what they all looked forward to. He was a steady positive influence in their lives, and an example of true love. He was the Patriarch of this family, instilling values in his kids and grandkids that will last a lifetime and that will be passed down for generations.

For 15+ years, they went south for the Winter where they had a home in California on a golf course. They had many friends and family members there and always looked forward to it. They were loving members of the lone Baptist Church where there is a Memorial Bench in both of their names.

They remained in lone, Washington, until their health required a move to their Granddaughters home in Tonasket. Frank lived out the last 7+ years of his life with Craig & Mollee and their 3 kids. Their lives once again revolved around Basketball, Soccer or football games, track, concerts, etc. This brought him and Lois both so much joy. Darcee and her family lived nearby and she faithfully took him to Bingo on Wednesdays as well as Church on Sundays. As long as he had his Grandkids and the great grandbabies around, with The GameShow Network blaring in the background, he had everything that he wanted.
