Jeannie Gail Williams passed away at her home near Diamond Lake, Washington unexpectedly on May 21, 2026. On March 16,1951 Jeannie was born to Una Mae West in Oakland, California, where she would join her brothers Ricky, Gary and David.
Jeannie spent her childhood in several places, including Syracuse, New York and Oakland, California, where she attended elementary school. She later graduated from North Highlands High School in North Highlands, California in 1969. After high school, Jeannie went on to attend Lyle’s Beauty School in Sacramento, California before starting a family and moving to Reno, Nevada. She worked as a blackjack dealer at the famed John Ascuaga’s Nugget Casino Resort in nearby Sparks. Jeannie loved sharing stories about the celebrities she dealt to during her late-night shifts, including Pearl Bailey, Dick Clark, and Peter Marshall.
Her time in Reno would span just a few years before landing a job with Pacific Bell Telephone in Citrus Heights, California. Jeannie would head back to the Sacramento area with her children Shannon and Jamison (Jamie). She was proud to buy her first home in nearby Roseville. Jeannie quickly made the home her own by building a brick entryway and installing a Doughboy pool for her family to enjoy. Now that Jeannie finally had a place to call her own, she began creating the beautiful garden spaces that became one of her favorite hobbies.
In 1981, Jeannie would meet her future husband, Terry Lee Williams. He would join the family at their home in Roseville shortly after dating mom. One year later Jeannie and Terry would make the move to Newport, Washington with Shannon and Jamie where they would settle down for good. After making Terry chase her around for 10 years under the same roof, Jeannie finally said ‘yes’ to marrying him in November 1992. They had a happy and loving marriage for 33 years and were together for 45.
Jeannie was a proud wife, mother, and grandmother who loved spending time with family. She also enjoyed gardening, crafting, baking, and thrift store shopping. She loved spending time in the many garden spaces around the family home, especially among her strawberries, daisies, and peonies. There wasn’t a bargain Jeannie didn’t think she could find. She loved garage sales and shopping at any thrift store she could find. Thrift stores were always the first place Jeannie liked to visit when traveling.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her mother, Una, her brothers, Ricky, Gary and David, her nephew David Smith, Jr, mother and father-in-law, James and Marjorie Pancho.
Jeannie is survived by her husband, Terry, and her children, Shannon Pancho and Jamie Pancho (Kamie). She is also survived by her grandchildren: Sierra Lopez (Sean), Joshua Lapham (Kelly), Koa Pancho (Maddie), and Jacob Lapham (Maggie). Jeannie has four great grandchildren who lit up her smile, Riley, Jack and Alice Lapham, and Liam Pancho. She is also survived by her beloved sisterin- law, Cheryl Smith; her nephews, Billy, Gary, Shane, Christopher, and Rick Smith; and her niece, Allison Goodwin, all of whom she loved dearly.
Jeannie will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
Her warmth, humor, and love for family will continue to live on through those she loved most. Sherman-Campbell Funeral Home in Newport, WA is in charge of arrangements. Family and friends are welcome to visit their website at www. shermancampbell.com.
