Samuel Cogswell, son of Mark and Penny Westphal, went home to the Lord on April 28th, 2026, just a month and a few days shy of his 40th birthday (May 31st). Sam is deeply missed by his parents, daughter Avalon, brothers Adam, Matt (Jennifer) and Jacob (Katie) Cogswell, and John (Christina) and Lucas (Rebekah) Trunkey, 11 nieces and nephews, and numerous extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held on August 1st, 2026 at 1 p.m., at Priest River Event Center with a potluck to follow at the home of his parents.
