Robert Bruce Shackelton, son of Norma Jean and Bruce Shackelton (both deceased), passed away peacefully in his sleep in Metaline Falls, Washington, on July 28, 2026. He was 70 years old. Rob is survived by his two sisters Leslee (Rick) Shepler of Kenmore, Washington, and Becky (Mike) Root of Hoquiam, Washington, two nieces and two nephews along with their children. Rob’s Pend Orielle County friends became his second family. His memory will live on through the many friendships he made and the countless memories he leaves behind.

Family and friends are invited to come together Saturday, Oct. 10 at the Metaline Waterfront Park from 1-3 p.m. to remember Rob and share stories about the life of a man who meant so much to so many.
