Willy Hutchinson, formerly of Newport, Washington passed on Sept. 3, 2026, at the age of 81. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 18, 1945, he attended Pierce Jr. College and Temple University. A Vietnam War Veteran and the owner of two businesses, The Cafe and The Land Title Company both of Newport, Washington. But his real loves were his dogs Cass, Jenny and Edgar of Newport, best friend Doug Lambarth and BASEBALL! He played, coached and pretty much built his own teams and playing fields. He was proud of all his teams but especially his female players, “the Best Female Ballplayers in Eastern Washington.” We thank you all for bringing him such happiness and for being such an important part of his life.

Willy is survived by two sisters Susan Valley (Steve) and Tricia Hutchinson Stairiker (Big Dan) as well as many nieces, nephews, his cousin and best childhood friend Peggy Cook and of course his beloved Irish Wolfhound, Edgar. Interment will be private.
