Adolf Botzheim

Adolf Botzheim
Adolf Botzheim entered into life on December 7, 1939 to Matthias and Anna Botzheim. He was born in Wels Austria. Adolf and his family traveled to America in 1952 by ship. He was 12 and it was an 11-day journey, where the men were separated from the women and children. The waters were rough and the voyage was difficult but Adolf and his family arrived safely in the United States.
In eighth grade, Adolf began dating the love of his life, Jonnie Ruth Meadows. He was a star athlete and she was a cheerleader. Cheering for him was something she would continue to do for the rest of his life. Adolf and Jonnie were married for 64 years.
Adolf enjoyed hunting and fishing with his dear friends, Sam Nicholas and Ken Hirsch. He also was known for being “the best huckleberry picker.” He could pick more than anybody else! Many huckleberry goods were enjoyed by the family and friends, especially the pies!
Adolf was an incredibly hard worker. He worked for the Pend Oreille mine, the sawmill, cement plant, and was a welding teacher and repair man for the Selkirk School District.
Adolf entered into rest surrounded by family on December 3, 2024 in Spokane, Washington. He is survived by his beloved wife Jonnie Botzheim, his son Alan (Tracey) Botzheim, his daughter Lisa (Dan) Meadows, his granddaughters Cheyenne (Lawrence) Maupin, Ciera (Ruebin) Botzheim-Hintz, Noelle Keller, Holly Keller, great-grandchildren Mikaella, Camille, Ella, Colt Maupin and Emily Hintz, his brothers Willy (Shirley) Botzheim and his sister Anna Nemitz.
Adolf loved his family wholeheartedly and will be remembered fondly.
